Network Engineer

DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology and processing solutions to the financial industry, is recruiting for a Network Engineer at our Corporate Office in Hutchinson, KS.

The Network Engineer is responsible for configuration, installation and support of a large Cisco TCP/IP WAN network. The primary functions of the position focus around data communications and transport only. The position will also perform monitoring, support and analysis of the ATM (teller machine) network/system.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installing, configuring and supporting Cisco equipment for the organization’s 8 remote centers and 145 client WAN locations.
  • Responsible for new data circuit activations and coordination with various Telco providers and customers.
  • Perform network support and troubleshooting for the organization’s staff and customers.
  • Will work closely with the Network Services Manager and Network Architect on new projects, security practices and regulatory compliance operations.
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately with staff, customers, vendors and services providers.
  • Will participate in the after-hours on call rotation with other staff members and be expected to be available for support functions and outages when on call.
  • Responsible to share in ATM (teller machine) systems monitoring/troubleshooting/support services.
  • Travel to the organizations remote sites and customer sites will be required on occasion.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • 3-4 years hands-on experience in network infrastructure support.
  • Holds a valid CCNA (routing & switching) or higher.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.
  • Applicants having some experience with Cisco VoIP/phone systems, Cisco data center networking incl. ACI, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense and SoloarWinds Orion NPM would be preferred.
