Names John Jones New President and CEO
HUTCHINSON,
KS., December 18, 2003 –
Data Center Inc. (DCI), a nationwide bank information processing and
technology company headquartered in Kansas, announced today the official
appointment of John Jones as President and CEO by the DCI Board of
Directors. Jones assumes the helm at DCI after the tragic death of previous
CEO A.J. Krail in an airplane accident in November.

Lentell, DCI Chairman of the Board, said "We have total confidence in
John, and feel he is the best person to lead DCI. DCI is fortunate to have
his experience, knowledge, and talent to take over and move the company
forward. We are pleased he accepted the position."
Jones,
a longtime colleague of A.J. Krail, was recruited in 1999 as DCI's Executive
Vice President of Operations, with senior executive-level responsibility for
the company's 13 processing centers, IT management, development,
implementations and support. Before coming to DCI, Mr. Jones’ impressive
background included experience as Vice President of Operations for the
banking services division of EDS; Director of Resource Management and
Outsourcing for HTE, an international firm providing software and services
to the public sector; CIO of a major technology company located in central
Florida; and technical operations at large south-eastern banks.
He also has vast experience managing financial data centers across
the United States, and was instrumental in expanding DCI's market into
California, New Mexico, and Arkansas.
Said
Jones, "I knew and worked with A.J. Krail for more than 25 years. He
always knew I'd be taking over for him someday, so he gave me an
extraordinary amount of support, ideas and preparation. I intend to carry on
in a way he would be proud of, building upon his successes, and continuing
to bring innovative and aggressive new ideas and directions to DCI, the
employees, the customers and the industry."
John
and his wife, Susan, have two daughters, Jennifer and Lauren, and currently
reside in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They plan to relocate to Hutchinson,
Kansas where DCI maintains its Headquarters location.
