Western Banks Partner with DCI for Core and Compliance
-Core processor provides check imaging and compliance capabilities to banks nationwide-

HUTCHINSON , KAN., August 15, 2006 – DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology and processing solutions to the financial industry, announced new partnerships with seven western-region banks during the second quarter of 2006, to implement the company’s iCore processing and bank management system.

The banks include: First National Bank of Ordway (Ordway, Colo. ), Gunnison Bank and Trust Company ( Gunnison , Colo. ); Celtic Bank ( Salt Lake City , Utah ); Union State Bank ( Arkansas City , Kan. ); Mountain Pacific Bank ( Everett , Wash. ); Friendly Hills Bank ( Whittier , Calif. ); and RiverBank ( Spokane , Wash. ).

“DCI’s longevity and growth nationwide is based on involving banks in our technology advancements and incorporating their needs into the core processes,” said John Jones, president and CEO of DCI.  “iCore helps these banks integrate the core processing system not only with their unique workflow and competitive needs, but also with the universal need for regulatory compliance as well.”

As an example, DCI points to its addition of BSA Navigator, a feature based on regulatory requirements and DCI customer input that integrates the core and teller systems to ensure Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance at the teller line. Multi-branch institutions such as Union State Bank, Gunnison Bank and Trust, Celtic Bank and First National Bank of Ordway choose this feature to automate their compliance and operations to improve customer service.

Check 21 imaging capabilities have also been a long-standing focus for DCI and its customers. Earlier this year, DCI released solutions for branch capture, such as Proof21, a feature that eliminates the handling of paper checks beyond the teller line. The check-proofing feature was notably important to Gunnison Bank and Trust Company, First National Bank of Ordway and Mountain Pacific Bank to reduce operations and courier costs. Union State Bank uses branch capture.

“DCI’s remote imaging and Proof21 features have generated greater Check 21 adoption among our bank customers than the industry overall,” said Jerry Rempe , senior vice president of Operations at DCI. “These automated capabilities streamline operations, accelerate the collection process and provide substantial increases in ROI. Our banks are realizing the profitability of integrating core technologies with operations and compliance.”
