De Novo Bank Opens Doors with Big Bank Technologies
-American Riviera Bank enters competitive, upscale market with DCI iCore-

LAS VEGAS , Nov. 14, 2006 – DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology and processing solutions to the financial industry, announced at the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) Retail Delivery Conference & Expo 2006 that Santa Barbara, Calif.-based American Riviera Bank has successfully opened its doors for business with DCI’s iCore bank management and core processing system fully implemented.

American Riviera Bank launched on July 18, 2006, after selecting iCore over three other competing vendors. Bank officials chose iCore based in part on evaluations of other California banks with exceptional growth and operational results attributed to implementing iCore, Peer banks noted the user-friendly design and responsive support.

“Based on my experience in the industry, I sought a core processor that would best fit the individual needs of the bank,” said Laurie Leighty, senior vice president at American Riviera Bank. “DCI takes into careful consideration the distinct and specific needs of the bank and tailors the product to meet those needs. An additional selling point was the partnerships and alliances that DCI holds with various complementing companies.”

iCore is an integrated, relational Windows® core processing system designed with the input of DCI customers to increase business efficiency, competitive capability and bank-level control. According to bank officials, the DCI partnership allows them to focus on the growth of the bank and service to customers rather than the technology.

“With a de novo bank, it is vital to take into consideration the projected growth and business model of the bank and then implement technology that can best meet those requirements and needs,” said John Jones , president and CEO of DCI. “For example, American Riviera’s plans anticipated the online needs of their target customers and the bank’s need for streamlined, automated workflows, so they implemented our technologies to create a paperless and more Web-based environment from day one.”

American Riviera Bank also purchased and implemented DCI’s Proof21, a Check21 compliant solution that combines imaging and end-to-end check clearing capabilities with complete proof and balance functions in a single workflow directly from the teller line.
