Document Image Library Creates the Paperless Bank—with Style

As a part of DCI's iCore product, DCI has released the Document Image Library, developed completely in-house, and arguably the most impressive development project of 2002. Completely built into iCore and accessed directly through the system menu and special on-screen icons, the Document Image Library instantly turns any bank into a truly paperless environment. It automatically indexes, stores, and retrieves any document scanned into the iCore system, and with just a click of the mouse, puts any document—and even specific data from a document—directly at the fingertips of any authorized user in the bank. It also helps protect the bank from fraud and unexpected disasters, and reduces redundancy while increasing efficiency and streamlining workflow. And because it does this all electronically, it drastically reduces the requirements and costs for storage and staffing.

Using the best scanning and capture technology available, documents are scanned directly into iCore, creating an online image of the document, and automatically capturing and recording specific customer or bank information from the document using OCR, OMR, Handwriting Recognition, and Barcode recognition. iCore then automatically indexes, files, and links the document by customer, account, and other user-defined groups for instant online storage, retrieval, and management.

The Document Image Library automatically creates a user-friendly filing system with intuitive tools to find, print, view, export, copy, paste, move and repair anything scanned into iCore. Also provided are filing and review options for type, dates, page numbers, expiration actions, and the ability to define signature capture zones to quickly view and verify signatures via the new Quick Image icon.

All images tied to a particular customer and/or account are instantly available by simply clicking on an icon from any screen within iCore. Users can print, zoom or pan documents, and images can be copied for use in other Windows applications.

All documents for a particular customer, account, or user-defined group are also available in a single view via an icon on the iCore toolbar. Users can move, copy and paste documents to another customer or account, and add pages to a document. And through iCore’s advanced integration, users can view checks imaged through item processing and tellers can access online signature cards and driver licenses, all by simply clicking an icon on the DCI Teller or iCore toolbar.

The iCore Document Image Library is the only document imaging solution of its class available in the industry. And head to head, it outperforms all others—even stand alone versions—in its capabilities, and does it at half the cost.
