DCI
and AudioTel Partner to Provide Remote Image Capture HUTCHINSON,
KAN., May 3, 2006 – DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology
and processing solutions to the financial industry, announced today a
strategic partnership with Addison, Texas-based AudioTel, a software
solutions provider for financial institutions, to expand capabilities for
remote image capture and exchange, including branch and merchant check
imaging. The
partnership enables customers of DCI’s iCore core processing and bank
management system to work seamlessly with AudioTel’s Genesys Proof of
Deposit (GPOD) system. According to bank officials, Syracuse,
Kan.-based Valley State Bank had three primary reasons for implementing
image capture and exchange – to eliminate bank cut off times for
customers, to improve availability on deposits and to eliminate microfilm,
proofing and courier expenses. “We
received our imaging equipment from DCI and AudioTel March 6 and went live
the next day – the quickest technology implementation the bank has
experienced,” said Tim Kohart, president and chief operating officer of
Valley State Bank and a 30-year customer of DCI. “We have already
seen marked time and cost improvements. We estimate savings of $1,500
per month in courier and hardware-related expenses alone. Our
couriers, proof machines and microfilm are no longer necessary.” Valley
State Bank officials also report gains in efficiency, accuracy and customer
service as a result of seamlessly linking core processing with image capture
and exchange. Banks automatically populate reports with captured item and
image information to conduct more detailed, paperless analysis of check
activity. At the same time, banks reduce possible human error when handling
items and eliminate potential losses by courier transport. Banks can
also focus staff and resources more on customer service and retention then
expensive, time-consuming microfilm and proof processes. “AudioTel’s
partnership with a prominent industry player like DCI enables us to better
serve and reach customers,” said Scott Doores, president of AudioTel.
“The more automated and integrated imaging and other bank functions are,
the more benefit banks will see in working with industry partners such as
AudioTel and DCI.” “All
of our customers, regardless of asset size, can realize cost and time
savings from remote image capture and exchange as a result of our
relationship with AudioTel,” said John Jones, president and CEO of DCI.
“In addition to eliminating cut off times and increasing availability of
foreign item deposits, banks utilizing remote capture eliminate couriers and
the possibility of lost or stolen items during transport.” Banks
also benefit from DCI’s flexibility to provide full Check 21 services
using either Endpoint Exchange, or the Federal Reserve Bank with FedForward,
FedReceipt and FedReceipt Plus certification. About
