DCI Releases iCore 9.1
- Latest enhancements highlight BakerHill interface and HSA and account planning -

HUTCHINSON, KS, Nov. 15, 2005 – DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology and processing solutions to the financial industry, announced today at the 28th Annual BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo the release of iCore 9.1.  iCore, DCI’s flagship product solution, is an integrated Windows® core processing system specifically designed for complete bank management.

“Updates to iCore are released semi-annually and are directed by regulatory rulings and input from senior management input or sales and marketing, but most importantly by our bank customer requests,” said John Jones, president and CEO for DCI.  “Our iCore updates allow DCI’s customers to maintain complete compliance with the regulatory requirements, while providing system enhancements that give them the ability to compete more effectively in their respective markets.”

The most notable deposit enhancements to iCore 9.1 include capabilities that enable banks to establish Health Savings Account (HSA’s) plans for customers with high health plan costs or deductibles; to comply with IRS reporting requirements; and a SoftPro interface with SoftPro’s SignPlus product, a signature verification solution.  The SignPlus interface “memorizes” a customer’s signature from a DCI check image to compare any checks for fraudulent activity, adding another form of security for bank customers.

Other enhancements include an ability to enter statement messages by account type as well as enter messages that will print for all accounts to help communicate more effectively with a bank’s customer base.  Additional reporting has also been implemented to report unused overdraft commitments to help satisfy the suggested regulatory requirements (final guidance).

iCore 9.1 also includes new and updated capabilities for loan servicing with the addition of a new “bankruptcy address suppression” field at the customer level to prevent the mailing of loan statements and notices to bankrupt accounts.  iCore also features an interface with St. Paul, Minn.-based Baker Hill, a provider of focused expertise to help you leverage technology to achieve strategic goals, where a daily iCore extract file will be available for importing into the Baker Hill statement analysis (STAN) and collateral and exception management (REACT) solutions, further streamlining the implementation process for these products.

“We are proud of the fact that most iCore enhancements originate as a collaborative list of ideas from the very banks we serve, highlighting our uniquely responsive approach to customer service and iCore development,” said Mel MacKay, vice president of Application Development for DCI.  “We provide a tailored product based on exactly what banks are requesting.”

Noteworthy iCore management enhancements offer banks a multifactor authentification for an extra layer of security.  In addition, iCore 9.1 now has the ability to archive and export older document images to CD or DVD media with a stand-alone viewer so users can view document images from any computer without having to be connected to iCore.
