First Bank Implements iCore
De Novo Bank Chooses Experienced, Technology-Forward Core Processor
HUTCHINSON, KAN., DEC. 2005 – DCI announced another successful implementation of iCore, the company’s scalable, Windows system for complete bank management, at Coronado, Calif.-based Coronado First Bank.
According to bank officials, Coronado First Bank chose iCore over two other competitors, because the bank management system is easy to use, easy for employees to learn and more technologically advanced. The bank considers iCore a springboard for them in the banking market, enabling employees to deliver optimal service to customers instead of struggling with software.
“DCI came highly recommended to us from a technology consultant, and our research quickly concluded the same – iCore went further than any other core processing technology toward what we wanted from a strategic and competitive standpoint,” said Paul Cable, CFO of Coronado First Bank. “Within two months, we made our decision to work with DCI, and within six weeks, we were up and running successfully with iCore.”
With iCore, Coronado First Bank has implemented complete document imaging, which minimizes costs and manpower associated with filing paperwork and reduces time constraints. This is made possible by the iCore Report Library and Document Imaging Library, an integrated approach to information management to turn the bank into a truly paperless environment. Through a fluid integration of imaging technology and automation, the capture, filing and retrieval of documents and reporting information is dramatically simplified.

By reducing paper statement usage, bank officials expect to significantly save on labor, postage and equipment costs with the system’s embedded e-mail capabilities and to distinguish the bank as reliable and innovative.
