In December, DCI customers were offered a valuable marketing tool, with the introduction of InstaKEY Select to the ATM and debit card system.
With the InstaKEY Select service, participating institutions who own ATMs waive surcharges to the ATM and debit card holders of all other participating institutions. Currently, 31 banks with 58 ATMs are enrolled in the service.
"InstaKEY Select allows our banks to work together to provide a new service to their customers," states Mel Mac Kay, DCI research and development. "With the added benefit, customers will be motivated to use participating ATMs, thus increasing traffic to those banks."
In addition to the InstaKEY Select service, DCI clients now have more options for their credit card accounts. Banks who offer their own credit cards can now choose to waive the surcharge to their customers using their credit cards at their own ATMs. The credit card transaction is treated as an on-us transaction rather than a foreign transaction, to avoid the added fee.
